We represent ourselves in two primary areas of social media sites. And those are Facebook and Twitter. In the short time we have had our presence on those sites, our growth in those particualar social media sites has come at an outstanding rate.
Our original Facebook page now has over 4,200 friends. All of this within a short period of time. And we have launched a new "fan page". We have such great interaction on FB with our viewers, it is really nice to see what the local foodies are wanting and talking about. As well, we have a great giveaway promotion, where we work with local restaurants, food related businesses and even charitable organizations to promote their offerings and events. In return they provide us gift certificates for free food, merchandise and event tickets, that we in turn giveaway to local foodies. Who said there really isn't anything free out there?
Our Twitter page has 500+ followers, and here is the thing. While we do use Twitter, we are not a "power user" of Twitter. We post up links for information about promotions, charitable events, recipes and more... through our twitter page.
