Suggestions anyone?

I am always looking for new places to try in Northwest Arkansas.

So if you have a favorite restaurant, let me know!

Or maybe you know about a brand new restaurant in the area, let me know that too!

I can't promise that I will make it to every suggestion, but I will do my best to get by as many of these places as possible.

So please, feel free to make your own suggestions. And if you have a dish you would suggest is a "must try", let me know that too!

What about Hu-Hot Mongolian

What about Hu-Hot Mongolian Barbecue, Frank? I have eaten there twice and the food is great and the service friendly. I actually like them far better than the other restaurant that was in that location for years.

Hu-Hot Mongolian

Please allow me to chime in.
I like Hu-Hot "O.K." My kids love it.

Staff is friendly. Selection of ingredients and sauces is -- substantial. My kids were raised as "adventurous eaters" and they love the recipe cards on the tables as well as well as the ability to experiment for themselves with sauces and ingredients.

I did have one small problem last time I was there. The meats and the fish on the prep-line were still frozen. Not cold - frozen. Maybe its me, but I had a little problem with the idea of dropping frozen meats straight onto the grill -- not to mention the fact that it was hard to portion my bowl without the assistance of an ice pick. The place was packed and the cooking at the grill was a tad too close from one order to the next. My food was bathed somewhat liberally in my neighbor's sherry at the grill. I'm not a big fan of sherry.

I will go back. My kids won't let me stay away - but I will consider it to be dinner at Hu-Hot rather than authentic Mongolian.

Best Mongolian I have found in Fayetteville is at East Buffet (Evelyn Hills Center). Generally not as busy as Hu-Hot, nor as vast an array of ingredients - but my dinner there has never been flavored according to my neighbor's taste. Mongolian Grill at East Buffet is not always available at lunch.

Good suggestion, I have had

Good suggestion, I have had several people tell me I need to get by there and give them a try.

They are on the "to-try" list for sure!

And I agree with Kirby, in that had I noticed frozen product on the line to choose from, I too would have been a bit worried about cooking the product evenly.

Will let you all know my thoughts when I get the chance to go by there.
